Personal Project Checklist

Week 1
Introduction & Research: Initial research into music promotion, understanding of ways of reaching the target audience and promotional case studies

Week 2
Music artist selection: Mood boards, visualisation of lyrics 

Week 3
Promotion research and analysis: Research promotional pathways, collecting examples and analysing 

Week 4
Initial ideas and experimentation: Introduce use of typography and experiment with design principles- alignment, space, shape and repetition

Week 5
Further experimentation: Are you attracting your target audience? Clarify the ‘look’ of your promotion relating to the artists in your essay

Week 6
Further experimentation: Push and combine use of materials and techniques…take imaginative leaps!

Week 7
Refine experimentation: What’s working well? Respond to feedback. Explore colourways and variations. Addition of typography

Week 8
Outcome visualisation: Visualising of outcomes using sketching, layouts, mock ups etc. Review of progress and feedback.

Week 9
Exam preparation: Present proposed outcomes, refine where necessary, exam planning

Week 10&11
MOCK EXAM: Complete final outcomes in exam conditions. Evaluation of project and outcomes. Submit for assessment.
